Practices

Our practices begin at the beginning of 6th period on a regular day.  That is 1:35 PM. 

 

Every athlete must be at the track no later than that time, fully dressed in workout clothes and ready to go.  No exceptions.  This rule applies at all times, including during rainy days. We may choose to conduct alternate workouts during inclement weather.  The practices will end at approximately 4:30 PM. 

 

Any athlete on the team that is not in the Cross Country 6th period must report to the track after school for the workout. 

 

All athletes are required to stay at the practice until their coach excuses them. No exceptions.  Medical and dental and all other appointments must be scheduled around this schedule.  Missed practices will result in an athlete not allowed to compete in a meet, and chronic practice ghosts will be asked to drop the class. 

 

The practices are vital to the success of our program and all athletes must do the workouts in order to succeed. 

 

In any emergency situation the athlete’s parent needs to communicate with the head coach.  If an athlete attends school on a given day and decides to get sick during 6th period, it will count as an unexcused absence.  The coaching staff will be very strict on these rules, so please know and obey them every day.
